Salt River Preserves

We use our fruit to make a range of small-batch jellies, jams, chutneys and sauces with an emphasis on rare or classic. Availability depends on the season and this year’s crop. There is sometimes variation between batches - but all delicious!


Flavours

Jaboticaba Jelly: A dark, savoury jelly with a slight astringent bite. Good with red meats and cheeses.

Tropical Apricot Jelly: An absolute treat for fans of sour. A little in a bowl of vanilla icecream is delicious but equally a sensational addition to cheeses and white meat dishes.

Seville Orange Marmalade: The absolute classic in marmalades, this is a beautiful looking long-peel orange-gold marmalade.

Fig & Ginger Jam: A chunky, lemon-toffee jam full of texture and flavour.

Damson Jam: The best kind of plum jam, damsons have the extra tang that makes this so good.

Rhubarb & Vanilla Conserve: Lovely slushy rhubarb texture and flavour with plenty of vanilla to match. Especially good on scones.

Roasted Feijoa Chutney: Quite different from a typical feijoa chutney, this is dense, textured, tangy and delicious.

Tamarillo Chutney: A classic tamarillo chutney, warming in winter and fantastic with red meats and cheeses.

Spicy Tomato Sauce: Lightly spiced, classic rich homemade tomato sauce.

Sweet Chilli Sauce: Our own take on a classic Asian condiment.  Use neat as a sauce or in cooking.
